A description of the Roland JUNO-106 currently available for sale through The Midium® Vintage Collection.
THE MIDIUM® CURATOR'S NOTE: Vintage Synthesizer
LILLY CAROLINA: This Roland JUNO-106 came to us via an acquisition from the second quarter of 2025. The previous owner explained that they purchased it from the original owner 20+ years ago, and kept it in their studio since then. It was stated by the previous owner that during that time, the JUNO-106 was played as a MIDI module with another controller triggering notes. The Midium® performed a thorough inspection and demo, and after noticing that several buttons were difficult to trigger, The Midium® opted to replace all 32 buttons, making it easy again for the JUNO-106 to register presses. The previous owner also stated that other work, including voice card replacement, fader replacement, PSU reflowing, and battery replacement had been performed by a qualified technician (LA Synth Co) in 2021. Please also note that the first fader in the left-hand control panel stops just a bit short of the lowest marking. This does not affect functionality, and when lowered all the way, the parameter does reach its minimum level. Please see the final photo for visual evidence.
After receiving the Roland JUNO-106, The Midium® determined that a thorough cleaning was also in order, so we opened the synthesizer and proceeded to clean the interior, without removing the keybed, as we worked on the switches. To document this process, The Midium® edited a video that tells the story of all the work we performed on the Roland JUNO-106. The Roland JUNO-106 comes with the power cord and original instruction manual. Please contact us via telephone, email, the contact form, or via DM with any questions, anytime. We would be glad to hear from you!
THE CLASSIC 1980s ROLAND VINTAGE SYNTH SOUND, RESTORED.
THE STATE OF THE SYNTH.
WORKING CONDITION: Excellent (works as expected for a restored synthesizer of 1980s vintage).
This Roland JUNO-106 has been restored with new voice cards and other service performed as stated above, with all new buttons/switches installed by The Midium®. All controllers are fully responsive. One fader in the lefthand controller section has a very slight shorter travel on the way down than the other two, though functionality is not affected. The chorus circuit is exactly how it was when we received it, so it contains the noise inherent to the Roland chorus.
PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good
The interior section holding the circuit boards has been cleaned by The Midium®, and the keys have been cleaned without having to disassemble the keybed. There are scratches to the top panel, side panels, bottom panel, and rear, with oxidation showing on the rear panel in a small spot on the left and on a scratch. We have done everything possible, within reason, to show any imperfections in the photos. Please take your time reviewing each image while looking for all details. Please contact us if you need more photos to see more details.
