Old Blood Noise Endeavors' description of the Old Blood Noise Endeavors BL-44 Reverse variable clock effector

THE MIDIUM® CURATOR'S NOTE: Signature Edition

Recognizing the people behind a musical instrument's creation is as vital as recognizing the artist who plays it and the audience who appreciates it. In that spirit, The Midium® asked Brady Smith of Old Blood Noise Endeavors to please sign a run of their BL-44 Reverse variable clock effector pedals in our collection. It is The Midium®'s hope that you feel a deeper connection with your Old Blood Noise Endeavors BL-44 Reverse variable clock effector Signature Edition, with the knowledge that the makers have added a personal touch to the units in our collection. We hope you enjoy this special pedal, as it draws its inspiration from classic Old Blood Noise Endeavors pedals Minim and Rever.

BL-44 Reverse.

Actively contending with the existential construct of “time,” Old Blood Noise Endeavors presents the BL-44 Reverse Variable Clock effector, a reverse effect that allows the user to change the clock speed of the entire sonic system. Through a simple control set, sounds ranging anywhere from lively harmony to faded memory can be achieved.

The BL-44 is a true reverse effect, always reading backward what the player has most recently played, but with added depth and harmony from the interaction of the Clock slider and Speed knob. It aims for an immediate and tactile experience that encourages the player to keep their thumb on the slider and experiment.

Original painting featured on the surface of the BL-44 by Brandy M. Patterson of Manchester, New Hampshire.
